BUCHAREST (Reuters) - Romania's ruling coalition agreed on Wednesday to rerun a two-round presidential election on May 4 and May 18 and stuck to an original plan to endorse a single candidate, the Liberal Party, one of the three coalition parties, said.

Romania’s new presidential election will take place on May 4, with a runoff planned two weeks later May 18.

The survey was carried out weeks after the country’s constitutional court annulled a first round vote in which the far right candidate came first, saying he likely benefited from an illegal campaign co-ordinated by Moscow.
