Starting at 12:30 p.m. ET (1730 GMT) on Saturday (Jan. 25), astrophysicist Gianluca Masi of the Virtual Telescope Project will stream live telescope views of all six of the planets in marching order. Six of our cosmic neighbors are expected to line up across the night sky tonight, in what has been dubbed a "planetary parade". Throughout much of January and February, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will be visible splayed out in a long arc across the heavens, with Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn being visible to the naked eye.

Six planets are parading across the sky, appearing as some of the night's brightest stars. A few easy tips can help you identify them.

Just by looking up, you’ll be able to get a glimpse of several planets shining brightly in the night sky. The six planets – Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Uranus and Neptune – will all be in a straight line.

There is currently a celestial event otherwise known as a planetary parade. During the course of a night you can see up to six planets such as Mars, Neptune and Venus with the naked eye. Josh managed to capture the parade of planets from a spot high on the Mendips.
