As the cable news channel MSNBC splits up with NBC News, it is also dropping the NBC from its name. Later this year, the channel will become MS NOW, which stands for My Source for News, Opinion, and the World.
Television’s MSNBC news network is changing its name to My Source News Opinion World, or MS NOW for short, as part of its corporate divorce from NBC.
The company says the name change will allow it to ‘chart our own path forward, create distinct brand identities, and establish an independent
NBC will showcase opening night, and there also will be Sunday Night Basketball, Peacock NBA Monday and Coast 2 Coast Tuesday.
The first regular-season Sunday Night Football game takes place on September 7 when the Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. It’s not technically a Sunday Night Football game, but the Chicago Bears host the Buffalo Bills at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.

NBC has picked up a version of the game that will feature civilian players, rather than the reality TV veterans and other celebrities who have populated Peacock’s iteration of The Traitors. Alan Cumming, who hosts the Peacock show, will also lead the NBC version.
