On3's Hayes Fawcett has reported that the No.1 rated cornerback in the transfer portal, Thaddeus Dixon, is down to four schools. Dixon jumped into the portal from the University of Washington and has not closed the door for a possible return to the Huskies.

The college football transfer portal is still churning quickly despite the calendar turning to 2025. One big player available is quarterback Alex Orji, who recently played at Michigan and then decided to enter the transfer portal after the season.

Tight end Mason Mini announced his commitment to transfer to the Spartans via social media. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound product of California played for Idaho in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision the past two seasons. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Michigan football appeared to shooting a shot over the SEC's bow with two commitments in short order from the state of Tennessee. One never made it to campus and the other never really saw the field.
