The International Chess Federation (FIDE) announced on Tuesday that the sport’s governing body has ended the feud with Freestyle Chess. FIDE confirmed that the term ‘World Championship’ would be removed from Freestyle Tour’s regulations.

“The organizers of the “Freestyle Chess Tour” fully deleted from its Regulations the reference to the “World Championship” title.
