NBA veteran Marcus Smart has agreed to a contract buyout with the Washington Wizards and plans to sign a two-year, $11 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers after clearing waivers, according to ESPN. The 31-year-old, who played in just 54 combined games over the past two seasons due to injuries, brings a strong defensive presence to the Lakers.

Marcus Smart, who played the first nine seasons of his career with the Celtics, agreed to a deal with the Lakers on Saturday.
