Shaun Evans, famed for his roles in Endeavour, Vigil and Until I Kill You, has landed the lead role in ITV's upcoming thriller, Betrayal. In the series, he will portray John Hughes, a spy who grapples with averting "a serious and dark threat to national security while making sense of his own place in the world".

ITV has commissioned a new espionage thriller which will be set in the clandestine world of MI5 and star Endeavor, Until I Kill You and Vigil star Shaun Evans.
