HPD: 7-year-old girl struck, killed after getting off school bus near Alief

An investigation is underway after a 7-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Alief area Monday afternoon. It happened at around 3:45 p.m. on Concourse Drive, which is east of the Sam Houston Tollway and north of Bissonnet Street.

8-year-old girl killed after being hit by car after getting off school bus in southwest Houston

According to Houston Police Department Lt. Va’Shawnda McLean, the student had been dropped off by an Alief Independent School District bus. She reportedly “darted out into the road” shortly after being dropped off, and the driver did not have time to stop before hitting her.
