CHICAGO — The Chicago White Sox placed Luis Robert Jr. on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday, a tough blow for the center fielder after he started to deliver at the plate. Robert has a left hamstring strain. He left Tuesday night's 5-4 loss to Kansas City because of hamstring soreness.
The Chicago White Sox are in the early stages of playing 17 games in 17 days. Pitching coach Ethan Katz said the key is “trying to make sure guys are rested.”

Chicago White Sox center fielder Luis Robert Jr. left Tuesday's game against Kansas City with soreness in his left hamstring.
The rookie shortstop is not in the Chicago White Sox starting lineup due to a left side injury. "He did feel something on his side. We've MRI'd it, and it's clean," general manager Chris Getz said before Wednesday's game. "But he still feels something a little bit, and we're going to make sure that that's under control."
He turned a smooth 3-6-3 double play in the Sox’ 5-4 loss to the Royals Tuesday, as the Sox’ bullpen blew seven innings of one-hit ball from starter Martin Perez. Vargas went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored, while Colson Montgomery hit his 14th home run of the season and Luis Robert Jr. left the game with hamstring soreness.
