Brave New World leaves one major plot hole that could set up a storyline long in the making for a fan-favorite MCU character.

This is especially the case in Harrison Ford’s portrayal of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. The role, originated by the late William Hurt, has appeared briefly every now and then across MCU canon.

His old nemesis did, though. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross’ desire to live long enough to earn back his daughter’s love made a previously unlikable character more complex and sympathetic.
