At least 29 protesters have been killed and more than 1,200 people have been detained in nine days of anti-government protests in Iran, according to activits.

The IAEA’s director-general has warned Iran could build as many as 10 nuclear bombs, should it decide to weaponize its program.

At least 29 Iranian protesters have reportedly been killed in unrest across the nation, putting its rulers under huge pressure after Trump threatened to intervene.

Over the past 50 years, Iran has been shaken by a series of protests. They began with the demonstrations that led to the founding of the Islamic Republic and continue to now, as protests sparked by the collapse of the Iranian rial have seen unrest.

The Institute for the Study of War has recorded at least 369 protests in 28 of the country's 31 provinces since the unrest began.

More than 1,200 people have also been arrested during the unrest, activists say, which began 10 days ago and has spread to most of Iran's provinces.
