Three Hendrick Motorsports drivers - Alex Bowman, Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott - made the final 10. Ultimately, Bowman turned in the sixth-best lap at 49.152 seconds with Larson right behind him at 49.158. Elliott's second-round lap of 49.22 placed him ninth in qualifying.
