The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the human remains found burned in a vehicle near Conroe Monday. Deputies responded to the 9800 block of Forest Lane just north of Tamina after receiving a report of possible remains found in a vehicle in an overgrown field,

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said multiple people were arrested following an illegal narcotic investigation on Dec. 30.

The U.S. Justice Department has reached an agreement with local authorities to resolve an investigation of the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office and Central Dispatch. The investigation began last year after a Black resident — Sonya Massey — was fatally shot in her home by a now-former deputy Sean Grayson.
