Amanda Seyfried doesn't entirely regret not starring in "Guardians of the Galaxy" but does now know she was "wrong" to assume the film would flop. The "Long Bright River" actress said during the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast in the below video that she was in talks to play Gamora in the first "Guardians of the Galaxy" feature.

Amanda Seyfried is standing by a call she made to turn down the offer to star as Gamora in Marvel’s blockbuster franchise “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

The actress recently opened up about turning down the part of Gamora in the original “Guardians of the Galaxy,” a role that later went to Oscar winner Zoé Saldaña. Seyfried admitted that she viewed the movie as a risk to her career at the time — but she was wrong.
