A major Chinese airline is launching direct flights linking Adelaide to a star destination in China in a major lift for Australian tourists and businesses.

A major international airline will be landing back in Adelaide at the end of the year, in a move expected to significantlly boost the state’s tourism and trade.

The carrier, one of China’s “big four” airlines, will operate three 787-8 Dreamliner flights to Guangzhou per week starting 12 December, returning to Adelaide following a four-year break after it paused services in March 2020 due to COVID-19.
