Investigators believe fireworks were behind a fiery explosion at a home in Pacoima which left a man in critical condition Thursday morning, authorities said.

A home appeared to have partially collapsed after an explosion was reported at the Pacoima home, officials said. At least one person was injured.

One person was in critical condition, and rescuers were left searching for trapped pets after a fireworks explosion flattened part of a home in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles Thursday morning.
