HOHENWALD, Tenn. (WSMV) - The State legislature honored The Elephant Sanctuary of Tennessee with the passage and signing of House Joint Resolution 508.

In a news release, the Zoo said African elephant Mikki (age 39) and Asian elephant Punch (age 55) were reunited at The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee, after being transported separately.

The Oakland Zoo announced plans to move their only female elephant named Donna to a Tennessee sanctuary where she'll have more friends to play with.
