CO Coby Fontes (Warroad South) reports a busy and mostly successful waterfowl opener for Lake of the Woods hunters. A variety of ducks were harvested, including teal, wood ducks, pintails and scaup.

With clear skies and warm temps last weekend, Minnesota saw a quieter waterfowl hunting opener, but southern areas enjoyed better success with wood ducks and teal.
