Chicago weather: Unseasonably warm temperatures expected to dominate next week

Chicago weather: Slightly colder-than-normal temps, mostly no snow
Fox Chicago’s Mark Strehl has the forecast. We started out with temperatures slightly colder than normal, but there isn’t anything particularly bitter in store today. Daytime highs may struggle to hit 30 degrees. Fortunately, winds have been pretty light at around 4 to 5 mph. The normal high is usually around 33 degrees for this time of year.
A storm system moving through Sunday left widespread damage in parts of the Chicago area, including in Pontiac.
There are at least three instances in the past 150 years when opposing temperature extremes hit the area in back-to-back years.
