Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood are all returning as judges for the upcoming season 24 of American Idol. Yep, the judging trio has been tapped to return to the stage for a second round once the venerable music competition series returns to ABC and Hulu in 2026.

American Idol is set for its 24th season. Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie are returning as judges. Underwood won American Idol in 2005. She replaced Katy Perry in the previous season.

On Sept. 20, 2018, Underwood received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is the proud owner of star No. 2,646. Those who were a part of her unveiling ceremony included American Idol judge Simon Cowell and fellow country singer Brad Paisley. Her husband Mike Fisher and son Isaiah were in attendance to celebrate the big moment.
