Westchester County is holding a special election on Tuesday to pick a leader, a decision that will likely be influenced in one way or another by President Trump.

President Trump posted on Truth Social Feb. 10 encouraging people to 'vote Republican' in the special election for County Executive.

Westchester voters will decide who will finish the Westchester County Executive term vacated when George Latimer left for Congress.

Democrat Ken Jenkins and Republican Christine Sculti are running to fill the last year of the term vacated by former Westchester County Executive George Latimer, who is now in Congress. Jenkins, Latimer’s former deputy, was appointed by the Board of Legislators last month to serve as county executive until Election Day.
