Philippe Coutinho has completed a permanent move to Vasco da Gama from Aston Villa. The Premier League club announced Friday that the deal brings Coutinho back to his boyhood team, where he started his career in 2009.

Aston Villa attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho has signed for Vasco da Gama after being on loan at his hometown club last season. Villa, then managed by Steven Gerrard, signed Coutinho permanently from Barcelona for £17m in 2022,

The former Liverpool midfielder had initially joined Villa on loan in January 2022 from Barcelona before making the move permanent four months later
