As of 2021, the Land Cruiser was dead for North America, but other markets received a refreshed version of the model. Sales in its final months here skyrocketed in response to the news of its demise, and the return of a redesigned Land Cruiser came as a big surprise for the U.S. market.

Arctic Truck is a tuner from Iceland specializing in making pickups and SUVs more capable of tackling rugged off-road terrain, even in extreme climates. The company started by focusing on upgrading Toyotas, but it has expanded to upgrading models from Land Rover, Isuzu, Ford, Volkswagen, and more.

Its latest project is based on the new Toyota Land Cruiser 250, sold as the Toyota Prado in some markets. Dubbed the AT37 – a reference to the 37-inch tyres fitted as part of a suite of modifications – the new car has been extensively reengineered by Arctic Trucks to deal with everything from icy tundra to the slopes of a volcano.
