Philadelphia Phillies’ Aaron Nola could be replaced by Taijuan Walker in the postseason, according to an MLB writer’s latest report.
The Phils’ shortstop immediately exited in the seventh inning after hitting a ground ball and reaching on an Otto Lopez throwing error. He walked into the dugout, spoke with Phillies assistant athletic trainer Joe Rauch and headed down to the clubhouse. Edmundo Sosa entered to pinch run.
The Phillies got a dud from Taijuan Walker in the series opener against the Brewers and fans are venting their frustration with the hurler.
"Getting Harper to hit the ball out of the ballpark is huge," Philadelphia manager Rob Thomson said. "Either him or (Kyle) Schwarber, if they hit a home run early, it just seems to energize the entire club, and that big. Get up 2-0, get them on their heels a bit. It's good momentum."
