School districts across Northeast Ohio have canceled classes today as a precaution from the extreme cold that has settled over the region. Most of Northern Ohio is under a cold weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service.

In the face of extreme cold, hundreds of Northeast Ohio school districts are canceling classes for Tuesday following the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be the coldest of the stretch. Actual temperatures drop 5 to 10 degrees below zero. Wind chills will be 15 to 25 degrees below zero. Wednesday afternoon sees some sunshine as high temperatures climb back to the mid teens.
