Michigan State senior guard Jaden Akins received two All-Big Ten awards on Tuesday -- Third Team and All-Defensive Team. Akins had to step into a new role this season, one that carried a lot of responsibility with him being the longest-tenured Spartan.

Jase Richardson was known as Jason Richardson’s son when he arrived at Michigan State last fall, following the footsteps of his father who played for the Spartans and in the NBA.

As the regular season concludes, and the Big Ten Tournament is getting set to begin, it is now time for regular season awards to be handed out. All-Big Ten teams, along with individual awards were announced on the Big Ten Network at noon on Tuesday.
