Met Eireann has issued its highest-level weather warning for four counties as Storm Éowyn is set represent a 'danger to life' as it tracks across Ireland. A status orange wind warning, which was issued this Wednesday morning, has now been upgraded to status red for counties Limerick, Cork, Clare and Kerry.

Met Éireann has issued a red "danger to life" warning for four counties and upgraded the alert status of the rest of the country to orange as Storm Éowyn predicted to bring "powerful and destructive winds" on Friday. Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick have all been placed under the highest level of weather alert from 3am until 10am on Friday.
