The debate within President Donald Trump's Republican Party over a massive tax-cut and spending bill returns to the House of Representatives on Wednesday, as party leaders try to overcome internal divisions and meet a self-imposed July 4 deadline.

The president's spending bill came down to the wire with three Republican senators ultimately choosing not to support his cuts.

With Sens. Rand Paul and Thom Tillis opposed to the package, GOP leaders can afford only one more defection. And multiple Republicans aren't yet sold on the measure.
