After the Detroit Lions officially announced the signing of former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Trystan Colon, the team made a decision on the 25-year-old defensive back. In a corresponding move, the team waived Wilson, just a short 48 hours after he was signed, with an injury designation.

Colon joins the Lions after Frank Ragnow's retirement. He spent the last two seasons with the Cardinals and started 11 games.

Trystan Colon has played for two teams over five seasons, most recently for the Cardinals in 2024. He gives Detroit Lions insurance in the interior.
