The Portsmouth Health Department provides a variety of health and safety services for our citizens. These include, Immunizations, WIC, BabyCare Home Visiting, Every Woman's Life Breast and Cervical Health, Breastfeeding and Childbirth Classes, Car Seats, Vital Records, Pre-Admission Screening for children and adults, Family Planning, HIV/STD testing and treatment, PrEP, Restaurant, Hotel, Recreational Water Facility permitting and inspections, Well and Septic permitting, Rabies Prevention, Food Manager, Food Handler and Pool Operator Certifications, Chronic Disease and Outbreak Intervention.
