Taking an 11 year old into a museum like that may bore them and may not be appropriate as it’s a very somber museum. But having said that, if they can read well and you explain what happened and why you are taking them in, it will be an educational exercise which will stimulate conversation. The objective of the museum is to remind the world that this must never happen again. Basically the appreciation of the exhibit will depend on the maturity of the child.
