Great to walk or take a swim. Water park is only open Saturdays and Sundays. Cool "Beach" water was warm. Kids have a blast. Full review by TravelMXN

Is it allowed to grill/drink alcohol in this park?

We were there in January so I am not sure about grilling or alcohol in the park but you could check with the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce to find out.

Yes the water is still warm until mid to late September

How deep is the swimming area of the river?? Are you allowed to swim only in designated areas or anywhere along the river??

You can swim in the designated areas along the beach and also the city has a very nice new swimming pool at the park
