Nice, but small. It opened at 10 and was pretty busy by 11:00. I would pass on this and visit other sights in D.C., particularly in winter. The outside gardens were brown and dead. Best to see in the… Full review by SayCheese

Fun experience and beautiful displays. All ages can enjoy and great for families with little kids. The poinsettia displays and the architectural exhibits were amazing. Full review by emptynestingnow

I have two teenagers. One enjoyed the visit and one was bored - on her phone the whole time. There is a "children's garden" where we saw small children playing while watched by their parents. Honestly, when making the decision about whether to bring your kids, I would consider how curious they are. The garden has lots of different kinds of plants (some kind of weird) in lots of different settings so that alone might distract them for a bit.
