Although I only visited it from the outside, reading its very interesting history, the moments in which I contemplated this wonderful palace seemed extraordinary to me. Admiring the castle even from … Full review by radustefan2024

Hi everyone! Can anyone explain how the time slots for New Palace works? As far as I can tell, all inside visits are to be taken on a timed slot, but as far as I can tell, I can't pre-book this timeslot. It seems like I can only pre-book a time for Sanssouci, and then, it seems that I will have to go to the visitors center of New Palace to get that timeslot then and there. Is this correct? How will I know that I will get a timeslot at New Palace if I arrive in the late afternoon after first visiting Sanssouci? Or vice versa, how will I know that I will have time to walk over to my pre-booked timeslot at Sanssouci if I start at the New Palace and pick up my random timeslot here? (I'm planning to buy a Sanssouci+ ticket, which is valid for one day)

That's correct, as the other reviewer said, no specified time slots for it. You just go anytime you'd like. The only place with time reservation is Sanssouci (and Cecilienhof's 2nd floor …

That's correct, as the other reviewer said, no specified time slots for it. You just go anytime you'd like. The only place with time reservation is Sanssouci (and Cecilienhof's 2nd floor apartment if you plan to visit there as well). You can always arrange your visits to the other places accordingly.

Hi there, my husband and I will plan to begin our time at Sanssouci at the New Palace. I am wondering how much time will it take to leisurely see the New Palace, Chinese pavilion, orangery, windmill etc. the sites along the way back to Sanssouci Palace? so we can buy our timed entrance ticket to Sanssouci Palace ahead of time. Like if we planned to go the the New Palace first thing around 10am, how much time should I allow before we arrive at Sanssouci Palace? I should note, we will also have our one-year-old son with us so there is a possibility we might want to go through the New Palace separately if our son doesn't have the attention span (especially as no strollers are allowed.) How long did it take most people to go through the New Palace with an audio guide? And how long do each of the other smaller attractions take on the way to Sanssouci Palace? Also, we are art lovers and plan to see the picture gallery. Does anyone know how large it is, and how much time we should plan to see it? Thanks so much!

Hello, So firstly with a 1 year old, life's different, isn't it! You'll no doubt have a buggy, so getting around won't be a problem. As Razvan said, you'll need around 6-8 hours. There's plenty of walking to do, but it can be done at a leisurely pace too. The Chinese pavillion would be one to go in separately, as there's not so much room or to see inside. You can walk around the outside of it too. Enjoy :)

When you buy your ticket they will give you a timed ticket for the Sanssouci palace. This will determine where you go. For us our ticket was for a little bit later so the ticket person advised us that we had plenty of time to go to the Neuse palace before walking down to the Sanssouci palace for our timed entrance. I would definitely listen to the ticket person they gave us perfect advice on how much time everything would take. Enjoy!!
