From what I can tell this far in advance, it should be a good time to visit Ponce. The following week will be much busier due to the Ponce carnival celebration (Feb 19-25,2020). There are several restaurants and coffee shops around the city square and nearby. I liked Vistas Restaurant, right across the colorful Fire Station. Check the Trip Advisor recommendations for the area. I've had good experience with them. While in Ponce, you should try to tour The Castillo Serralles in the hill overlooking the city, the Ponce Art Museum,and many small museums located in the city. If adventurous, can drive to the mountains and visit the Hacienda Buena Vista (restored coffee plantation, reservations recommended).
