Lindores Abbey is considered by many to be the spiritual home of Scotch Whisky, laying claim to the earliest written reference made to the drink, in the Exchequer Rolls of 1494. In 2017 a new distillery was built in the grounds of the ancient Abbey, and distillation commenced once again at the end of that year. The distillery is open for distillery tours and pre-booked refreshments. | Sip responsibly
