Ruger American Rimfire | Gunner Forum
The receiver is a tubular piece of steel and mounts to the stock with 2 allen screws. There are embedded aluminum pieces in the stock that fit into slots in the bottom of the receiver. This provides solid bedding and free floats the barrel for its full length. The safety is mounted on the tang - forward to fire and back for safe. If the action is cocked, the bolt can be worked with the safety ...

Keeping the focal length long and lens or mirror curvature shallow is a classic way to minimize optical errors. It's why those old spotting scopes you see pirates and pioneers using were extendable in several sections.

1873 winc strength | Gunner Forum
I have a Uberti 1873 all steel action Short Rifle in .357 Magnum. It is a gorgeous rifle.. With it’s deep charcoal type bluing and case colored action, the colors don’t show well in the photo. A 20 inch octagon barrel, that is usually the carbine length. But this levergun has the rifle forearm, barrel, loading tube, barrel band, and octagon barrel. It weighs in at 7.4 pounds unloaded. It ...

converting a .22LR Henry to .22 Win Mag | Gunner Forum
KL he is building a Win Mag Mare's Leg pistol by removing the barrel of the Magnum cutting it down to legal pistol length and mounting it on a Mare's Leg pistol receiver. This way he will have a legal 22 Win Mag Mare's Leg. It is an ambitious project, I wish I had his time and money.

W 296 in .38 Special +P? - Gunner Forum
I know. If you want a .357 Mag load, use .357 Mag! I just want to know if anybody here has ever used W 296 powder for a .38 Special +P load, specifically for a 125 grain JHP. I have used 2400, and was not overly impressed with the results. These loads will be used only in .357 Mag guns, or my Service Six, which is a .38 Special, but should be able to take about any .38 load, as it is the same ...

.22LR Standard Velocity vs High Velocity - Gunner Forum
I think the barrel length also plays a big part. The shorter the barrel the less difference in speed between the SV and HV is what I've found. My .22LR Mare's Legs like the Aguila HV shorts which shoot about the same speed as SV longs. I only consider them 25 yard firearms and that is the distance I usually shoot them.

First is the way the legs are independently adjustable front to rear, as well as length. They have far more adjustability than the Harris units do. And it looks a lot cleaner, without all those springs hanging out everywhere. I never liked that about the Harris units. It doesn't hurt anything, but it just looks cheesy.
